The application process for dental school has been a grueling process. I put in over four months studying for the admission’s test, working usually five to eight hours per day studying. After crushing the test, filling out the application took about another two months and a few thousand dollars. Just to apply to six schools!

A few months later and I received an invite to interview with two schools (for the following month). While I was spending hours prepping for the interviews, I received crushing rejections from four schools without even getting an interview. Hopefully my application money helps them buy nice new things for their school! The other interviews with the inviting schools went very well. It has been about 2 months since the interviews happened, and I just found out today that I am on a waiting list for one of them. The other has yet to contact me.

If anyone else has had a tough time with the dental school or medical school application process, you are not going through this alone.
